For me nothing is harder than creating for friends and family. I fuss so much I dig myself a hole creatively. A monster hole a car could be buried in and then I stand around looking at it wonder why I can’t do my best work for the people I love the most? Pity soon follows, the nasty little killjoy, once it arrives I am lost. Where is my happy thought, man?
Jack and the boys have been asked to fix some mowers lately and done such an awesome job other folks are taking notice. Its beginning to steamroll and my boys have shy moments, and clam up when people start talking business, so I suggested a business card to give out to help them communicate. They said, great you make them. EEK! How did I NOT see that coming! I laid the tracks and forgot about the train. DUR!
Since I run around town saying, my boys this and my boys that. They wanted to call their little start up after me…so sweet I could cry! Jack has never called me Jodiann unless he was hacked off. So Jodi it is.
I hemmed and hawed for ideas they might like. I suggested they have their faces on the cards to help identify them better, that bombed!~ LOL! They looked like I asked them to give a speech… in the nude…without a podium… full press contingent present…with TV cameras.
Okay, no faces on the cards.
Think Think Think. I was digging that hole again, so I set the project aside for a few days and got some clarity. It worked. Each time I reached for the shovel I set the project aside for a day or two and it made all the difference.
The fist holding a tool idea took the place of their faces. Each picked their favorite tool to hold. Jack’s is a 3/8 inch Air Ratchet for those of you who are wondering why he chose an electric toothbrush! They wanted their names on there next to their fists. I think the placement of their names is a little wonky, but they like it. I want to try a few more placements and see what happens.
Still deciding what phone number to use or if to get another cell line. So I have time to dinkle around with it. Even not complete, I feel I conquered a demon and wanted to share the victory! *Happy Dance*WHOO HOO!
Happy Tuesday!
