May Font Challenge LO
Howdy all! I did the layout above for the Font Challenge at DSO. So much fun! Jack stomps around the house after our old Cherry Bomb as if he is going to squish her, but she knows better. When no one is looking they are a cozy couple and now I have the photos to prove it! LOL!

42
Well, it was my birthday yesterday! I am a ripe 42! We found this adorable cake at the grocery and the bakery ladies were kind enough to give it a big fat 4-2! * guffaw* Perky, isn’t it?
Someone should make a scrap kit like this…its adorable! I bet someone already has?
When I was 23 and having my first doodle-bug I longed to know what 42 was like. Wasn’t sure why that number stuck in my head. When I was 40 I still wasn’t sure. Well now I know! Its glorious! It going to be a great year!
We all went out for Sushi last night to celebrate, it was really great! Wonderful!! Terrific company and the food was top shelf! We will have to go back for the Hibachi Bar and watch the chefs toss food in the air and catch it in their hats! Whoo HOO!
Yesterday’s lunch with the Wednesday Lunch Bunch ( senior lunch) I was presented by a card with everyone’s signature. It was the highlight of my day! I was so touched! Thanks Lunch Bunch! I am so glad to be a part of your Wednesdays. Of course, Janie made the best meal! ( doesn’t she always?) Fried Chicken, German Potato Salad, Sweet Baby Carrots, Fresh Green Salad and Strawberry Shortcake. We were all very spoiled!
Talked to my mom and dad too, they called to say “Happy Birthday” Turns out my nomadic parents are at it again! Dad at 73 will be making a fishing trip to Alaska for Salmon with my brother, Randy and his wife Wendy. Mom also 73, will be holding down their household in Washington State for the duration. Caring for their goats and Stella the Dog. I guess my sis, Kathy will be making an appearance as well. M and D have a little summer place in Northern Arizona and now must decided if they are going to try to make it up there in between the Alaska trip and the fall, sublet it, or just keep it closed up till next year. Man, that’s rough! I wish I had their problems…okay maybe not, opening and closing a summer house sounds like a lot of busy work to me, but when the choices are inside in the Texas heat or outside in the Texas heat the word “choice” loses its meaning.
* hoot*
For now we are having glorious weather, cool and wet. Not something Texas is known for. I have so much grass under my feet I am tempted to risk barefoot. Not smart with Great Dane poop that could suck off your rubber boots off if your not careful.
Yes, I am exaggerating.
Happily wasted half the daytime playing Plants Vs. Zombies with the boys yesterday!
Well its back to business as usual today after a day of FUN disregarding my responsibilities. Going to put my feet to the fire and see what can be accomplished today and tomorrow. Saturday is spoken for, I have volunteered to be an election judge for the town council and school board election. Something new. I have already been warned that boredom is the order of the day when 35 people are expected to vote over a 12 hour period, but my friend Helen will be there and we can talk the hands off a clock! So I doubt I will be bored. Janie will be there to bring us lunch. She said she doesn’t vote anymore so its her civic duty to feed the workers. I love Janie! Voting starts at 7am or you can stop by just to yak with Helen and I. Tony will be there too, but his first love is the election provided laptop, so expect him to be head down and screen focused. Nothing personal, he just prefers the computer to you. *Guffaw*
Happy Thursday!
