ANGEL TEARS FREEBIE QUICKPAGE

Do you know what happens when Designers Kim B and Jenni Rousseau (Chaos Lounge) decide to make a Collaboration Kit?

MAGIC!

I was fortunate enough to get my mitts on this kit ANGELS TEARS about a week ago and its been hard not being able to blog about it. I have had such fun building!!  I have built about 5 pages so far and picked the best 2 to convert to Quickpages.

What I like best about this kit is the versatility, if you like baskets, buckets, and containers to fill you have  plenty to choose from and plenty to fill them with!  Like strings?? A good supply of those are in there too. Cluster Madness! So much to layer into your layouts! Can we talk about the papers??? Great Googlie! There is so much variety across the board with both designers clocking in their best ones Each paper is diverse in texture, color fading, and edge effects…its just hard not to choose everything!!

I think Jenni and Kim build very well together, their differing styles add just the right amount of fantasy ( Jenni) and reality ( Kim) to a kit to please everyone! Folks who prefer realistic elements (like me) will be tickled to get at all they crave and  encouraged to try more fantasy elements once in a while. It all works so well, I found myself “trying on” a fantasy element and going for more outrageous papers!! I feel my horizons  have EXPANDED! LOL!

A heavy wine/winemaker theme runs through Angels Tears. It balances the more feminine elements making this a good kit for male dominated pictures and mixed group photos too. I can see it used for picnics, garden pictures and of course travel!! A more mature turn from the typical summertime kit themes this is one kit that will still be relevant in the fall. Long term this kit would make an AWESOME cookbook for your favorite foodie next Christmas…and you can finish it before the holiday rush! *wink* Ta-Da!

This kit will rock your next party invites!

The secondary theme of music runs through many of the papers and elements lightening up the heavy browns in the wood/woodsy frames and containers. This is a lovely surprise to find. I thought a leaf was a leaf?? Looking closer you will find these leaves have something more to say.

It goes well with any “old world” theme you are putting out there, Wine, Women and Song …its all covered here. Wonderful addition to any vintage layout, will really lift the interest, especially if your  vintage layouts suffer from lack of color.

The brushed metal sheen to the Alpha in this kit could be taken from a musical instruments gleam. Just enough shine to be elegant, but not enough to show up your layout. I like how it stood out just enough AND could handle a darker, wider drop shadow than most text or alphas out there. The Alpha comes in both upper and lower case with plenty or punctuation and extra goodies to work with. Its BIG, like all the elements in this kit so resizing for your changing needs will not leave you with jaggies or pixilation. No Never!
