Gratitude Wednesday: Template Fun
Howdy Neighbors!
I know some of you are half a world away, but as neighbors go, your the best! I am grateful for your joyful presence each day!
BIG electrical storm freak out last night. The weather was going nuts, even Jack CPR would not get my computer to go online today. My Darling is quite the wonder with computers and he got us up and going again, but the online part…well that was our provider so we had to wait for service to come back to us.
Whoo HOO! Thanks Windstream!
Hey, latest news on Jack’s closet…it was not a bare as Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. I found a half dozen pair of work pants and 2 dozen work shirt in there, just not the colors and patterns the sweet one was after. As members of the sisterhood you all know what its like to look into a dwindling closet and not find a thing to wear, right? Well Jack has that in common with us.
I washed some of his favs yesterday. He is now happily snug in one of his go to sets ( sorry ladies at Jack’s work… *giggle/sigh* no bare Jack for you! )
No go on convincing him he could “let go” of the clothes he would rather wear scrubs to work than put on. LOL! That’s my Jack, we might never go camping again, but by golly we have all that camping gear! HOOT! And he doesn’t even like camping! But he LOVES his handsome clothes…and shoes…let’s not get into that…I already got him sounding like a chick-dude. WHOOT! WHOOT!
Let’s just say…when I say, “down” and “size”. He says, “dead” and “body”!!
Gratitude Wednesday! That’s today!
Gratitude Wednesday is for sharing great goodies and thanking the designer responsible.
I said last time I wanted to explore one of the awesome templates Gaye at GS Creations makes. I have purchased my favorite one…
WATER RUSHES
First I tried the 1 layer PNG file for some quick fun!
A fast cut away on brown paper and a swish or two with the burn brush and in no time a nice little doo-dad.
Another quick cut, this time a cutout using a busy geometric print. Dropshadow added for depth.
Fun eh?
Now for a little more work. The big draw to these templates is the layered files. Each little light change is separated now we are talking! So much can be done with these, from the delicate color changes Gaye made for her preview…
…by the way, this example is available as a freebie on Gaye’s Blog in PNG format.
To something bold…
To help out, Gaye includes a layered PSD file with all layers clearly named and numbered. Also included is a PNG image of each piece. PNG making this template a very flexible crossover from one graphics program to another. So nice to have all the co-coordinating segments the same shade of greyscale. In other words all the leaf tips are one shade of grey all the stems of the same depth are another shade. With over 27 pieces this is such a help.
Many Thanks to Designer, Gaye from GS Creations, for a yummy template! Easy to use and understand…at such a reasonable price!!
Happy Gratitude Wednesday!
Thanks for being here!
