After Party Monday

Yup! Freebie Monday too!

MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA We did have a great time Saturday night watching the various light shows all over Fort Worth. Standing on the tall parking garage at Jack’s Work with about a hundred other people. Very Neat! We could see all around. First off, Fort Worth’s show was pretty great, then The Stockyards lit up. Well that is just across the street from where we were so of course car alarms were going off, little girls were screaming.  A bit of a surprise…Whoo HOO!  When that was over we looked around behind us and other shows far off were finishing up around the metro area. Really great to see so many shows in one place.

I loved seeing all the wonderful variety of people, all colors, all religions, cowboys, and metal heads alike, even a few yuppies,  oohing and aahing together on a hot July night. Fort Worth is becoming quite colorful! I love it! The Hindu families was all bundled up like it was winter…I bet our summer has nothing on India’s. Also for the Muslim ladies driving that cute little Honda…you looked hot, and it wasn’t just the car! I was trying to think when I have worn that much fabric and other than being a bridesmaid I can’t think of a time I came close. Yet, you wore serene smiles and took in all the rest of us in our bad shorts, folding chair gadgets, coolers,  and crazy hairdos.   Some families were set for a week they had so much stuff!! They also had enough kids to keep them running around all night! LOL! Been there…now we just grab the camera and tripod and off we go.  The joy of having teens.

Something cool I saw, all you parents and  grandparents out there will already know about this, but instead of sparklers for the kids parents brought bubbles and some little ones even had bubble guns that lit up with flashing lights.  How smart! I myself loved the danger of a near burn experience of sparklers when I was a little nipper, but it was a different world. Children did not sue their parents for emotional distress/injury back in the Disco Days!

The boys saw this part of the parking structure as SUPER COOLITO so I shot a photo. Now that I am not scanning the sky for fireworks I see it IS, ahem…SUPER COOLITO!

They thought it would be great for Parkers. AKA Free Runners.

After we took our American Butts to have burgers and fries at Whataburger!  Typical! LOL!

FREE-BAY!!

Taking cue from the first part of the series, CLOUDS. I am continuing with SAND. Elements of sand and what might found on or with sand.  I collected some various sandy pictures for “dunes” even took one at our local beach…which is really a lake with trucked in sand to make it look like a beach, but it looks pretty authentic when the camera gets close! LOL! Its sand from somewhere, right??

I like the sand dunes in this part, some include little special bits like starfish and sand dollars, stones, twigs. Its beach to me and I like the layering possibilities.
