House a’fire
Gratitude Wednesday.
I have been going like a house a’fire and the quest to see what I am thankful for has taken second place. Proof, (to me anyway) that chugging along too fast makes it harder to see the details. Gratitude is a detail not to be overlooked too often. Least I forget why I started on this journey.
It reminds me why I vowed to start this blog. I was reading an article about Christmas charitable giving. There was a little Q&A after the main article. An honest soul owned up to resenting giving away her money. She wanted to help people, but she often dreamed up better things to do with the money after she gave it away. The advice came back for her to seek gratitude in her everyday life: the more she saw how others supported and cared for her she would let go of money, time, unused items, etc. without reservation.
This stuck with me and as I thought about the idea of being comfortable with giving once one noticed how much they received. It hit me that gratitude was what my busy life demanded. Even if I had to slow down to see it. I also was neglecting my creative side. So I jumped in to build a blog to showcase my creativity as well as count my blessings.
How’s it going so far?
Smashing!
Well, my husband finds me a bit of a bother in public because I have taken to carrying around my camera everywhere we go. He might not live through the embarrassment! LOL!
Other than that I have found new life in playing hide and seek with gratitude and nurturing my talents. I LOVE the added bonuses I didn’t foresee…the wonderful friends I have to converse with all over the globe and their wonderful creativity to rub off on me. Visiting other people’s blogs and reading about how their lives work.
Joyful!
Sometimes, like the last week or so, I find myself too busy to think straight and lose my focus on what to be grateful for, but it comes around again.
All is well.
Thanks for joining me on this journey, its so nice having each of you along!
AJ knocking about my “work list” Show some respect for the list, Man!
