Holy Smokes! It was a sweat free weekend! Yes! We worked hard and Yes! we did go outside!! It was COOL! 88 degrees! WOW! In August? Cool in Texas? I was there and I still don’t believe it! The internet is abuzz with “fall talk” and I disregard it because we, Texans could still be sweating on Halloween Night, it just doesn’t start being cool until Mid-October around here. It will heat up again in a few days so I am going to stop talking about this now. Don’t want to jinx it!
We even went to the local wildlife refuge and HIKED over the weekend! It was gorgeous and deserted! We saw a sum total of 12 other people in 4 hours! Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge is packed with trails both short and long. There is even a small trail around the nature center building that is wheelchair accessible. Very Cool! What a great time!! Jack even hiked too! Jack doesn’t like to hike, but who would have known? He marched all over the place!
Okay this looks like a chain gang, but REALLY they had fun! LOL! Really!
We saw Prairie Dogs in the wild…
We saw refuge kept Buffalo…
This one is just getting ready to roll in the dust and make a big cloud of dirt…very cool!
